FAQ
The practical questions. For term definitions (edge, CLV, Elo, and so on), see the glossary instead.
- Is ServedBets free?
- The website — data, tools, articles — is free with no sign-up. The Discord community, where live picks with the model's probability and edge are posted before each match, is a paid membership.
- Does ServedBets guarantee profits?
- No. Nothing here is financial advice or a profit guarantee. Sports betting carries real financial risk, and our own public track record shows real losses alongside real wins — see the methodology page for the honest limitations.
- How often are picks posted?
- The model runs several times a day, but only posts a pick when it finds genuine edge — "no pick" is a normal, common outcome. We'd rather post 1-2 strong picks than pad the count with weak ones.
- What sports and markets do you cover?
- The model and everything tracked on this site: tennis (ATP and WTA), moneyline picks primarily, with a straight-sets market and spreads tracked in shadow mode before being enabled — we'd rather go deep on one sport than spread the model thin across two. In the Discord specifically, the founder also shares personal soccer picks alongside the model's tennis output; those are the founder's own calls, not the tracked/verified system this site reports on.
- How is the win probability calculated?
- A model estimates each player's fair win probability before it ever sees the betting odds, specifically to avoid anchoring to the market price. It draws on surface-specific Elo ratings, recent form, and head-to-head history, weighted by how much that history actually tends to predict outcomes. Full breakdown on the methodology page.
- What does "edge" mean on a pick?
- The gap between our estimated win probability and what the betting odds imply. A pick with +8pp edge means we think the true probability is 8 percentage points higher than the market's price suggests. See the glossary for the full definition and the value-betting article for how it's used.
- Can I see picks before they happen without joining Discord?
- No — that's the one thing kept members-only, deliberately. The public site shows the aftermath: settled results, closing line value, and aggregate performance, never a live, unsettled pick.
- How do I know the published results are real?
- Every settled pick is shown, wins and losses both — not a curated highlight reel. The main credibility metric is closing line value, which doesn't depend on whether a given pick won, making it much harder to fake than a win rate. See "why we publish our losses" for the full reasoning.
- What odds source is used?
- Currently a single odds source, which is disclosed as a real limitation — with one book, "value" is an estimate against that book's line, not a guaranteed edge against the whole market. See the methodology page's honest-limitations section.
- Is my data tracked on this site?
- Analytics here are cookieless and don't require a consent banner. No account, email, or personal data is required to use the free tools or read the site.
- How do I get started?
- Read the value-betting article and the methodology page if you want the full picture, try the free tools to get a feel for the math, or join the Discord directly if you'd rather see it in action.
- Can I add ServedBets to my iPhone home screen like an app?
- Yes. In Safari, tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing up), then "Add to Home Screen". It opens full-screen without Safari's address bar, and loads faster on repeat visits. This only works in Safari — Chrome and other iOS browsers don't support it, since Apple requires apps installed this way to go through Safari specifically.
